What does syncing a preset do?

Suppose I have a photo and I apply the preset Fast Fix. I'm assuming that analyzes the photo and then applies some adjustments. Suppose it increases the brightness by 30% and darkens the sky by 20%. (I just made those up for the purposes of my question.)

Now, let's say I sync that change to 10 more photos.

Are each of the 10 photos independently analyzed according to the Fast Fix preset?

OR

Do each of them have their brightness increased by 30% and their sky darkened by 20%?

The latter is what happens when you sync edits in Lightroom, which makes sense only the the photos are of the same scene taken at about the same time. What I'd like to do with Neo is to add, say, 300 vacation photos to the catalog and have Neo batch process all of them, analyzing each image independently. It's OK for me if this takes an hour; it's still a huge timesaver.

Does anyone know what actually happens in Neo?
