Hi everyone.
I am from the United States and I live in North Carolina. I have been a hobby/amateur photographer since I was a young boy, after my parents bought me a SLR film camera (some 48 years ago). I learned from my dad, whos hobby was also photography. I purchased my first digital camera in 1999, which was a Nikon Coolpix 900 (I think). I then moved to Canon Rebel series and on to Canon 7D series. I purchased my first mirrorless, a Sony a6000 (as a backup to my Canon), after my dad finally switched to digital from Minolta film to Sony A mount because he could use his old lens. I decided to make full switch to Sony mirrorless and bought a Sony A7R. I now own the Sony A7R M3, with many lenses.
I have been using Lightroom since version 1. I rarely go into Photoshop for anything and have been looking from a way to eliminate the Adobe subscription model. Neo seems like the ticket! Note: Skylum, please don’t move to a subscription model for Neo! I recently purchased Luminar Neo during a promotion, with a perpetual license. I truly believe Neo is superior to Lightroom in its presets and editing capabilities. Way to go and keep it up! However, I’m not 100% sold on Neo’s catalog management yet. Neo needs to add tags, or at least face detection. I tag family members in photos and don’t have a way to do that with Neo yet. I do like the AI search. Tags are only as good as adding such tags. AI Search is way better! And sub albums would be extremely nice.
My favorite subjects are landscapes and flowers. I have become a very good sports/action shot photographer, as my children were very active in sports through the years.
